Summer Glau Life & Career
Summer Glau was introduced to classical dance very early on and underwent drastic training in order to come professional. After an ankle injury, the future actress is forced to review her ambitions and decides to embark on an acting career.
The young woman, therefore, leaves her native Texas and embarks for Los Angeles. Her first television role in the series Angel of Joss Whedon. The actress plays a star dancer. Whedon calls on her again to step into the shoes of River Tam from his SF series Firefly.
The show is unfortunately canceled but quickly becomes cult. Joss Whedon also recalls the actress in 2005 to resume her role of River Tam in the film Firefly: Serenity which gives a worthy conclusion to the series.
Summer then diversified into various popular series such as Cold Case, Les Experts, or Les 4400 where her performance as a young schizophrenic woman left an impression. Having spent 3 seasons with the 4400, the actress obtains the role of the cyborg Cameron Phillips in Terminator: The Chronicles of Sarah Connor in 2008.
After having officiated there during the two seasons of the series, Summer makes an appearance as a guest in Big Bang Theory in her own role. In 2009, the actress reconnects with Joss Whedon by lending her features to the character of Bennett in Dollhouse. She subsequently appeared in the Chuck, Alphas, Grey's Anatomy, or Arrow series. In 2014, she took the lead role of Sequestered, a series featuring twelve members of a jury kidnapped in a hotel.
